Zack Snyder’s Justice League
I have recently watched the 4 hours and 2 minute Justice League: Snyder Cut and my reaction was priceless. This all new Justice League film contained scenes that were cut from the 2017 film directed by Joss Whedon and Zack Snyder as well as including powerful visual effects in fight scenes. According to IMDB, this film made the top 250 longest running films beating out Gone With The Wind.
As I watched the first hour of the film, I was instantly intrigued with the amount of scenes that were cut from the 2017 version among the extent of visual effects that were used. It made the film all the more interesting with plot twists as well as an improved look on the set design and character development. Not only did the visual aspects impress me, but the musical score composed by Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL allowed me to visualise the scene either through the fight scenes or background music when characters spoke. This soundtrack broke the record of a duration of 3 hours and 54 minutes beating out the Ben Hur’s soundtrack.
While the main idea of the story was still in tact, some differences of the film were listed as backstories to characters, new characters and additional scenes. However, in this version no scenes were included from the Whedon film. Snyder envisioned this film to be more powerful and exhilarating than the 2017 version because he wanted to explain the extended scenes in great detail.
All in all, this film is the most exciting and entertaining piece of art I have watched and would recommend this film to anyone and everyone out there. It is jam-packed with action, drama and thriller; the perfect genres for a film. Even though it is 4 hours long, you are at the edge of your set throughout the entirety of the film. You laugh, cry and jump up and down for joy with every scene. This film has been rated an 8.2/10 on IMDB and gained a 94% in audience score ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
