Friends: The Reunion
I have never been a fan of the sitcom ‘Friends’ but after watching the reunion special, I was hooked. Soon after that, I binged watched a heap of episodes thinking to myself why haven’t I watched this series before. After the first episode, I became obsessed with Jennifer Aniston’s character Rachel Greene as her personality and style made her all the more interesting.
Before I even watched Friends, I read all over social media about this famous line ‘we were on a break’. As I progressed into the show, I realised that line was used between Rachel and David Schwimmer’s character Ross Geller when Rachel initiated a break from their relationship. By season 6, I soon became obsessed with Matt LeBlanc’s character Joey Tribbiani. Not only does he have good looks but his personality is very comedic.
The Friends reunion special included special guests such as Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Cara Delevingne and many more. It included read throughs of Rachel and Ross’s breakup and Phoebe finding out about Monica and Chandler’s secret relationship. This special was full of sadness, happiness and laughter. Believe me I cried in every moment of the reunion. The fans also got a glimpse of behind the scenes footage of episodes including the final curtain call of the finale episode.
Even if you are not a Friends fan, this reunion special is intended for anyone and everyone who loves a good reunion. You can check out the episode on HBO Max if you live in the USA or catch it on Binge in Australia.
